24. Dachshund
Very popular among seniors, the dachshund or “hot dog” are great companions. They are always up for a game of fetch, but are happy to settle in with their humans for an afternoon nap. Early training and socialization are important with this breed. Inconsistency makes them difficult to housetrain. They don’t require much in the way of grooming; a weekly brushing is the most they need.
