Long or short-haired, Chihuahuas remain a popular choice among seniors. The ultimate lap dog, they only need a quick walk or a few minutes of play in the yard to meet their needs. If kids or grandkids will be around, socialize your pup early. Many small breeds can suffer from Small Dog Syndrome and become snippy, especially with kids.
