Curt Schilling

Curt Schilling is known as a successful pitcher, who broke the Red Sox’ World Series drought. In Curt’s post-playing days, he created a videogame studio so he could turn one of his hobbies into a business.

Curt put $50 million into 38 Studios and managed to secure $75 million in bonds from the state of Rhode Island. Unfortunately, Curt’s business failed, and he was asked to pay back 2.5 million to Rhode Island even though he had blown through all of his savings and his company was $120 million in debt.
