Dainty and adorable, the Maltese tick all the boxes for a good senior companion. Born to be lap dogs, these little furballs require minimal exercise and love to snuggle with their humans. They are low-shedding which is perfect for those with allergies and breathing problems. Their coats are very fine, however, and regular grooming is necessary to avoid matting and skin problems.
