Tomatoes thrive on the chemical compounds which nourish the soil when a banana peel is planted at the base of them. A great way to get tomatoes started is to wrap banana peels around the stem of your plants once they are just above the seedling stage. Slow roasted banana peel chips planted at the base of your plants work just as well.
