If you’re looking for a gentle giant, the Great Pyrenees is for you. Intelligent and beautiful, this breed has it all. Eager to please and happiest when with its humans, this working breed makes a wonderful addition to any family who can provide the space they require. They are not well suited to apartment living. Originally bred to protect livestock, these dogs are dutifully protective and will guard you from any perceived threat (even those pesky leaves blowing across the yard). They are highly energetic and require regular exercise and lots of brushing.
