Akita
These dogs are intelligent, alert, and powerful. The Akita is profoundly loyal to its humans. They don’t require hours of exercise, but enjoy a long walk each day. They shed seasonally, so grooming is particularly important during that time. They are not well-suited to households with other pets and children, especially small children, should be supervised with Akitas. They are easy to train and you won’t find a more devoted breed.
