24. Xylitol
Xylitol is a common sweetener used in countless foods, diabetic products and sugar-free gums. Dogs are extremely sensitive to this chemical and even a small amount can cause poisoning. Symptoms of xylitol poisoning in dogs includes a lack of coordination, vomiting and lethargia. In severe cases seizures can even occur.
