9. Beginner
If you’re a beginner when it comes to gardening, you should start with something that’s easy to grow. There are quite a few low-maintenance plants that are great for novice gardeners or for people who don’t have a lot of time to commit to gardening. Vegetables like radishes, carrots, lettuce, sugar snap peas, and beets are great for beginners because, if planted properly, they require very little maintenance. As for flowers, sunflowers, marigolds, and geraniums are your best bet.
